Abstract
In this report to the Swedish government, the Board for Industrial and Technical Development presents a review of the Swedish energy system and an evaluation of how the governmental support for environmentally acceptable power generation and more efficient energy use have been employed. Electric power production and consumption is analyzed, and a prognosis of their development for the next ten years is given. Use of fossil fuels, peat and biofuels for heat and power production and in industry is presented. (27 figs., 95 tabs.).
