Measurements of ac losses in NET prototype OH conductors

Abstract

Ac loss measurements have been performed in samples of a prototype conductor being developed for application in the central solenoid of NET. Two types of losses have been measured: hysteresis losses in the strand, and coupling losses in the strand, subcables and full size conductor. (H.W.). 1 ref.; 12 figs.; 17 tabs.
