New Development of a Small-Angle Neutron Scattering Instrument for a Pulsed Neutron Source

Abstract

A new way of increasing the luminosity of the pinhole geometry SANS spectrometer is proposed for a pulsed neutron source. The method consists in changing the pinhole cross-sections area according to a certain dependence on time. As the result, the luminosity increases several times at a fixed distortion of the scattering law. (author). 10 refs.; 2 figs.
