Abstract

The planning of the KUITU (energy efficient mechanical pulping) Research Programme began in November 1987. The programme is coordinated by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and it was presented and discussed on 15 June 1988. The programme is based on the paper industry`s need to improve the quality of mechanical pulps and to reduce energy consumption in mechanical pulping
