Thermal-hydraulic characteristics of safety systems in advanced reactors Part 1. Heat transfer in passive containment cooling system. Part 2. Fluid mixing with safety injection

Abstract

The heat transfer rates that occur inside and outside surfaces of the passive containment cooling system with both dry and wet outer containment surface following a postulated accident were investigated. The test model represented a 60 section of a containment vessel based on the AP600 geometry. In part 2, the comparitive study between AP600 DVI and ABB-CE System 80+ was carried out with experimental methods. And the effects of deflector were investigated. (Author).
