The vapour pressure of UCl{sub 4}

Abstract

A third-law analysis of the results of measurements of the vapour pressure of UCl{sub 4} shows good agreement between the enthalpies of sublimation from effusion studies, but that other techniques, like transpiration, boiling point or static measurements, give somewhat lower enthalpies of sublimation. In order to resolve this discrepancy the results of a vapour study of uranium tetrachloride by the trans-piration technique are reported. (author). 16 refs.; 1 fig.; 2 tabs.
