Introduction to controlled thermonuclear fusion; Uma introducao a fusao termonuclear controlada

Abstract

During many centuries the origin of the enormous power output of the sun remained as a mistery. However, in this century, the physicists have discovered that stars get their energy from the fusion of light nuclei (such as deuterons and tritons), and the Einstein`s equation, AE = (Am)c{sup 2}, was the way to explain this physical process.
