Abstract
Simple Ohm`s law {eta}jparallel = Eparallel is not satisfied in a/2 < or approx. r {<=} a region of the REPUTE-1 RFP plasma. Fluctuation-induced electric fields, such as , are not sufficient to account for {eta}jparallel - Eparallel at the edge. It is implied that current-diffusions due to magnetic fluctuations, carried by fast electrons rather than bulk cold electrons, sustain the edge parallel equilibrium current. (author).
