The pre-calculation of ground subsidence due to extraction above petroleum and natural gas deposits; Zur Vorausberechnung foerderbedingter Bodensenkungen ueber Erdoel- und Erdgaslagerstaetten

Abstract

Extraction from fluid deposits leads to later compaction of the porous supporting rock. The cause of this is a change of pressure in the deposit, which depends on the rate and conditions of extraction. The phenomenon of so-called compaction changes the rock mechanics conditions and causes movements of rock and the ground. Many samples show that considerable damage to extraction plant and bores can be caused by the ground movement. To prevent or to minimize these problems, one can take certain technical measures which must, however, be based on a knowledge of compaction and ground movement. This article examines the effect of compaction on the process of movement at the surface or at the bottom of the sea. A critical analysis of previously known methods of calculation leads to the result that further work on the pre-calculation of compaction and subsidence movements above fluid deposits is necessary. From this, a method of calculation is developed and applied to a large natural gas deposit. (orig.) Die Ursache dafuer ist eine Druckaenderung in der Lagerstaette, die u.a. von der Foerderrate und von den Foerderungsbedingungen abhaengt. Das Phaenomen, der sog. Kompaktion, aendert die gebirgsmechanischen Verhaeltnisse und ruft eine Gebirgs- und Bodenbewegung hervor. Zahlreiche Beispiele zeigen, dass durch die Bodenbewegungen wesentliche Schaeden an den Foerderanlagen und Bohrungen entstehen koennen. Um diese Probleme zu verhindern oder zu minimieren, koennen bestimmte technische Massnahmen getroffen werden, denen jedoch die Kenntnis von Kompaktion und Bodenbewegungen zu grunde liegen muss. In der Arbeit wird die Auswirkung der Kompaktion auf den Bewegungsvorgang an der Tagesoberflaeche bzw. am Meeresboden untersucht. Eine kritische Analyse der bisher bekannten Rechenverfahren fuehrt zum Ergebnis, dass weitere Arbeiten zur Vorausberechnung der Kompaktions- und Senkungsbewegungen ueber Fluidlagerstaetten notwendig sind. Aus dieser Erkenntnis heraus wird eine Rechenmethode entwickelt und auf eine grosse Erdgaslagerstaette angewendet. (orig.)}
