Abstract
The general design features of a 10 MW HTR Test Module, which will be built in China, and its basic safety concept and analysis are summarized. The results of preliminary analysis of design base accidents,such as reactivity insertion accidents, loss of primary coolant mass flow, primary system depressurization and rupture of steam generator tube are presented and discussed. The preliminary results of safety analysis show that the 10 MW HTR Test Module has good inherent safety features. Under all above postulated accident conditions the reactor will be in a safety allowable condition.
