Abstract
Dispersion equation for fast plasma cylinder with longitudinal current including a weak azimuthal magnetic field {beta}{sub 0v} is obtained and analyzed on the basis of perturbation theory. Simple asymptotic expressions for S{sub w}, S{sub n} and {sigma}{sub k} are derived under different limiting cases (propagation of small-scale waves with high values of radial wave number, wave in the uniform cylinder, surface mode etc.). 10 refs.; 1 fig.
