Abstract
A radiation monitoring scheme was established by the local authorities in Clwyd at the beginning of 1988. Samples of air, beach material, coastal sand and silt, seaweed, meat, fish and milk were taken from various locations within the county and analysed. Sampling, monitoring and analytical techniques are outlined. The results are included in the appendices and are compared with the results from 1988. No significant differences were found. The values found were within the limits expected and give no reason for concern. (UK).
