Abstract
The objective of this work is to study necking behavior of Zircaloy-2 in a tension test in which the temperature range varies from 170{sup 0} C to 620{sup 0} C by means of a model. This model provides strain rate variations in the beginning of necking and the parameters in the / necking stability. A new parameter {Psi} is presented which permits necking / stability description in metals by means of a simple tension test. It is also proceeded a behavioral study of {epsilon} versus {epsilon} curve after necking formation. (author).
