Abstract
This work made on radiation vulcanization of natural rubber latex process by gamma rays from {sup 60} Co source and electron beam of 1.5 MeV, 25 m A by Dynamitron, instead of classic process using sulfur. The experiment was carried out to study the influence of sensitizers (C Cl{sub 4} and n-butyl acrylate) and was reported the vulcanization dose for each sensitizers, related to maximum tensile strength. The results show the possibility to introduce the volatile sensitizer (n-butyl acrylate) instead of C Cl{sub 4} (toxic) in industry applications. (author).
