Abstract
A compact kinetic code for the theoretical modelling of discharge pumped XeCl lasers was developed and used to model the performance and discharge characteristics of x-ray pre-ionized lasers. The results are in good agreement with the experiments. This paper discusses in detail the effects of superelastic and electron-electron collisions which are neglected in the compact code on the modelled results.
