Abstract

This paper reports on the design and construction of a 20 cm long optical cell whose temperature can be changed continuously between 50 and 350 degrees K. The cell is cooled by a single stage cryogenerator and thermo-regolated with an electrical feedback system within 5 degrees K or better. The system will be used for measurements of molecular spectroscopy at high resolution by the use of tunable diode lasers.
