Abstract

Spontaneous fission of nuclei implanted into a silicon surface-barrier detector has been investigated. A single parameter model of electron-hole plasma has been designed. The value of this parameter may be determined through an independent experiment. A systematics for first approximations of the total kinetic energy has been suggested. The result of calculations have been compared with the available data on the decay of {sup 252} 102 nuclei. 10 refs.; 4 figs.
