Abstract
The luminescence properties of the inorganic liquids SOCl{sub 2}-CaCl{sub 3}-Nd{sup 3+}-UO{sub 2}{sup 2+} under excitation by the products of the nuclear reactions in the flow of the fast neutrons are investigated. The luminescence photon number distributions in depending on the time or the wavelength are measured by means of the statistical method of the own-photon spectrometry. There is calculated the contribution energy speed of charged particles emerging in the bulk specimen as a result of neutron interaction with matter. The efficiency {eta} of charged particles energy conversion to luminescence energy has been assessed quantitatively. It is shown, that the presence of UO{sub 2}{sup 2+} leaded to the decrease as the luminescence lifetime of {sup 4}F{sub 3/2}-level as the value of {eta}. 4 refs.; 2 figs.; 1 tab.
