Abstract

We construct an invariant measure for the dynamical system generated by a nonlinear Schroedinger equation. Conditions of the boundedness of the measure constructed are obtained. The result allows us to apply the Poincare recurrence theorem which (partially) explains the Fermi - Pasta - Ulam phenomenon well-known in the theory of nonlinear waves. 20 refs. (author).
