Abstract
Everyone knows that the electrification of the continental shelf is a terribly expensive mitigation, but nobody knows how expensive it really is. Statnett will end this. The solution proposed will create uproar. It is also disputed whether the electrification of the shelf will lead to a global reduction in CO{sub 2} emissions. (AG)
