Abstract
Is it okay to save CO{sub 2} under the seabed? But what if it starts to leak? Statoil has since 1996 saved CO{sub 2} under the seabed. Sleipner gas field have saved 13-14 million tons of CO{sub 2}. The Sahara contains 4 million tons of CO{sub 2} and the gas field, Snoehvit's figure is 1 million tons. The experiment takes place in a pressure tank of titanium which has a diameter of over one meter. Inside the tank will bacteria, single-celled animals, mussels, coral - and a flounder be exposed to CO{sub 2}. (AG)
