Abstract
The investigation has established the effects of gamma, X-ray, electron, and fast neutrons irradiation on the seeds of lime-tree, ash-tree, and Accer pseudoplatanus in a moisture or dry state, refrigerated or not refrigerated. The results are specific for each species and namely for lime-tree seeds the effect of stimulating the length of embryo radical was obtained by neutron irradiation at a dose of 1250 rad, for the ash-tree seeds irradiated with gamma and neutron beams at a dose of 500 rad, and for Accer pseudoplatanus seeds irradiated with gamma, X-ray, and electron beams at a dose of 500-1000 rad. At the thresholds of 10-25 x 10{sup 3} rad the radical extension is inhibited while at about 100-150 x 10{sup 3} rad the latent effect appears. (Author) 4 Figs., 7 Tabs.
