Gamma radiolysis of azo-dye indicators in aqueous medium

Abstract

The degradation of azo indicators by gamma radiation is being investigated in aqueous medium. The rate constant k and G values of degradation are determined and are found to be higher for methyl-red as compared to methyl-orange. Appropriate explanations are offered.
