Spectral, acid-base and redox characteristics of the chloro- anthra-semiquinones

Abstract

The spectral characteristics of the semiquinones of chloroanthraquinones are almost similar to those of the unsubstituted anthraquinone. Chlorosubstitution, however, affects the acid/base and the redox characteristics of the semiquinones with respect to that of unsubstituted anthrasemiquinone. (author). 4 refs., 2 tabs.
