Waste gas purification in the brick and tile industry

Abstract

Inorganic fluorine and sulphur compounds and various organic compounds are found in the exhaust gases of brickmaking kilns. This paper looks at the sulphur and fluorine pollutants and describes possible methods for their removal. Low temperature carbonization of gases can be overcome by thermal regenerative flue gas afterburning using the C.T.P. Autotherm process which is also described in this paper. (UK)
