In order to increase the wear resistance and increase the service life of new drilling tubes the joints are given wear-resistant bands by automatic welding beneath the flux layer of PP-AN 138 and PP-AN 125 powder wires are used for hard-facing, which have high degree of hardness and wear resistance. Data on the ways of achieving hard-facing and the equipment to be used are given. It is noted that hard-facing of drilling pipe tubes yields a significant economic benefit.
