<dc:description>The technological aspects of rebuilding wornout joints of drilling pipes using hard-facing which is an important means of increasing the service life of these pipes is described. In order to increase the wear resistance and increase the service life of new drilling tubes the joints are given wear-resistant bands by automatic welding beneath the flux layer of PP-AN 138 and PP-AN 125 powder wires are used for hard-facing, which have high degree of hardness and wear resistance. Data on the ways of achieving hard-facing and the equipment to be used are given. It is noted that hard-facing of drilling pipe tubes yields a significant economic benefit.</dc:description>
