This symposium was organized by Japanese Nuclear Data Committee and Nuclear Data Center, JAERI and was the first trial to use `Internet` for the symposium in a nuclear data field. In ISND-1, presented were 25 papers on various topics of nuclear data. Those presented papers are compiled in this proceedings as well as brief description about management of ISND-1. (author)",
