"description" : "Existing neutron-energy group meshes has been developed to reduce neutronic calculation errors due to the multigroup approximation. However, these meshes still generate non negligible errors. For instance, the current European XMAS 172-group mesh does not meet the goal of eliminating self-shielding errors in some epithermal resonances, like the Pu{sup 242} resonance at 2.7 eV, and taking into account the mutual shielding effects. Therefore, the Santamarina Hfaiedh Energy Mesh (SHEM) was developed to drastically reduce neutronic calculations errors due to multigroup approximations. A fined mesh was optimized to avoid self-shielding models: the whole resonances of major and minor Actinides, main Fission Products and LWR absorbers ({sup 109}Ag and {sup 107}Ag, {sup 115}In, Hf isotopes, {sup 155}Gd...) are described up to 23 eV. Simultaneously, errors due to mutual shielding effect are cancelled, such as {sup 238}U/{sup 235}U and {sup 238}U/{sup 240}Pu resonance overlap at 21 eV or {sup 177}Hf/{sup 179}Hf at 5.8 eV. The SHEM mesh is also built to improve slowing down calculations and resonant scattering in coolants or structural materials ({sup 16}O, {sup 23}Na, {sup 27}Al, {sup 56}Fe, {sup 58}Ni, {sup 55}Mn). A particular attention is paid to threshold reactions, such as {sup 238}U first inelastic level and fission (100 KeV and 1 MeV energy range). Moreover, the lethargy width of SHEM groups is always thinner than 0.2, which allows accurate slowing down calculations in Fast Breeder Reactors. (authors)",
