Title: PROCESS FOR MAKING NEUTRON-ABSORBING BODIES

Abstract

A process for making a control element for a nuclear reactor and the control element prepared by the process are described. Equally spaced, conically shaped depressions are formed in one face of a metal plate, spheres of boron of uniform size are placed in the depressions, another plate is welded on top of this place covering the depressions, and the joined plates are rolled to the desired thickness.
