Title: GRIPPER DEVICE FOR TAPES

Abstract

The relationship of a two-part plug or dummy fuel element and a flat thin metallic tape that is releasably gripped edgewise by the plug is described. The plug and tape shift a column of fuel elements lengthwise in a reactor process tube, through a pull transmitted to the tape by an operator and a push of the plug against the column of fuel elements.
