OpenStudio® Energy Rating Index (ERI) Workflow

Abstract

Calculates an Energy Rating Index (ERI) via an OpenStudio/EnergyPlus-based workflow. Building information is provided through an HPXML file. The ERI is defined by ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 "Standard for the Calculation and Labeling of the Energy Performance of Low-Rise Residential Buildings using an Energy Rating Index". Third-party, private sector software tools can connect to this open-source software workflow from their user interface to provide residential energy ratings.
