Title: Materials Data on PmEu3 by Materials Project

Abstract

Eu3Pm is beta Cu3Ti-like structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded to eight equivalent Eu and four equivalent Pm atoms to form EuPm4Eu8 cuboctahedra that share corners with four equivalent PmEu12 cuboctahedra, corners with fourteen equivalent EuPm4Eu8 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent PmEu12 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent EuPm4Eu8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent PmEu12 cuboctahedra, and faces with sixteen equivalent EuPm4Eu8 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Eu–Eu bond distances ranging from 3.75–3.89 Å. There are two shorter (3.77 Å) and two longer (3.82 Å) Eu–Pm bond lengths. Pm is bonded to twelve equivalent Eu atoms to form PmEu12 cuboctahedra that share corners with six equivalent PmEu12 cuboctahedra, corners with twelve equivalent EuPm4Eu8 cuboctahedra, edges with eighteen equivalent EuPm4Eu8 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent PmEu12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent EuPm4Eu8 cuboctahedra.
