Title: Materials Data on MgAlNi2 by Materials Project

Abstract

MgNi2Al crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two MgNi2Al ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ni atoms. Both Mg–Ni bond lengths are 2.54 Å. Ni is bonded in a linear geometry to one Mg and one Al atom. The Ni–Al bond length is 2.23 Å. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ni atoms.
