Title: Materials Data on Pt(Cl3O)2 by Materials Project

Abstract

PtCl6O2 is Fluorite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of eight water molecules and four PtCl6 clusters. In each PtCl6 cluster, Pt is bonded in an octahedral geometry to six equivalent Cl atoms. All Pt–Cl bond lengths are 2.29 Å. Cl is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Pt atom.
