Materials Data on MgAu3 by Materials Project
Abstract
MgAu3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded to twelve equivalent Au atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing MgAu12 cuboctahedra. All Mg–Au bond lengths are 2.93 Å. Au is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Mg atoms.
