Title: Materials Data on Ga3Pt by Materials Project

Abstract

Ga3Pt is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Pt is bonded to twelve equivalent Ga atoms to form PtGa12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent PtGa12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent GaGa8Pt4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent PtGa12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent GaGa8Pt4 cuboctahedra. All Pt–Ga bond lengths are 2.88 Å. Ga is bonded to four equivalent Pt and eight equivalent Ga atoms to form distorted GaGa8Pt4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent GaGa8Pt4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent PtGa12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent GaGa8Pt4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent PtGa12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent GaGa8Pt4 cuboctahedra. All Ga–Ga bond lengths are 2.88 Å.
