Title: Materials Data on CeAl2Cu3 by Materials Project

Abstract

CeCu3Al2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Cu and six equivalent Al atoms. All Ce–Cu bond lengths are 3.33 Å. All Ce–Al bond lengths are 3.07 Å. Cu is bonded to four equivalent Ce and four equivalent Al atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge, corner, and face-sharing CuCe4Al4 cuboctahedra. All Cu–Al bond lengths are 2.53 Å. Al is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ce and six equivalent Cu atoms.
