Materials Data on Tb3Co4Ge13 by Materials Project
Abstract
Tb3Co4Ge13 crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3n space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tb is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Co and twelve equivalent Ge atoms. All Tb–Co bond lengths are 3.10 Å. There are four shorter (3.08 Å) and eight longer (3.10 Å) Tb–Ge bond lengths. Co is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Tb and six equivalent Ge atoms. All Co–Ge bond lengths are 2.40 Å. There are two inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Tb, two equivalent Co, and four Ge atoms. There are a spread of Ge–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.69–2.99 Å. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a cuboctahedral geometry to twelve equivalent Ge atoms.
