Materials Data on Ga3Re by Materials Project
Abstract
Ga3Re crystallizes in the tetragonal P4_2/mnm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Re is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to one Re and eight Ga atoms. The Re–Re bond length is 2.67 Å. There are a spread of Re–Ga bond distances ranging from 2.52–2.67 Å. There are two inequivalent Ga sites. In the first Ga site, Ga is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to two equivalent Re atoms. In the second Ga site, Ga is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Re atoms.
