Materials Data on In3Hg by Materials Project
Abstract
HgIn2In crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two indium molecules and one HgIn2 sheet oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. In the HgIn2 sheet, Hg is bonded in a distorted rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent In atoms. All Hg–In bond lengths are 2.94 Å. In is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Hg and two equivalent In atoms. Both In–In bond lengths are 2.90 Å.
