Title: Materials Data on CoS by Materials Project

Abstract

CoS is lead oxide structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one CoS sheet oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Co2+ is bonded to four equivalent S2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing CoS4 tetrahedra. All Co–S bond lengths are 2.19 Å. S2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Co2+ atoms.
