Title: Materials Data on EuBr3 by Materials Project

Abstract

EuBr3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu3+ is bonded to twelve equivalent Br1- atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing EuBr12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.33 Å) and six longer (3.39 Å) Eu–Br bond lengths. Br1- is bonded in a distorted see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Eu3+ atoms.
