Title: Materials Data on SnBi3 by Materials Project

Abstract

SnBi3 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two Bi sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction and two SnBi sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. In each Bi sheet, Bi is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Bi atoms. All Bi–Bi bond lengths are 3.32 Å. In each SnBi sheet, Sn is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Bi atoms. All Sn–Bi bond lengths are 3.32 Å. Bi is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Sn atoms.
