Title: Materials Data on MgNp3 by Materials Project

Abstract

MgNp3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg is bonded to twelve equivalent Np atoms to form MgNp12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent MgNp12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent NpMg4Np8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent MgNp12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent NpMg4Np8 cuboctahedra. All Mg–Np bond lengths are 3.24 Å. Np is bonded to four equivalent Mg and eight equivalent Np atoms to form NpMg4Np8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent NpMg4Np8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent MgNp12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent NpMg4Np8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent MgNp12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent NpMg4Np8 cuboctahedra. All Np–Np bond lengths are 3.24 Å.
