Materials Data on CNCl by Materials Project
Abstract
CNCl crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one CNCl sheet oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. C4+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one N3- and four equivalent Cl1- atoms. The C–N bond length is 1.18 Å. All C–Cl bond lengths are 2.55 Å. N3- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one C4+ atom. Cl1- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent C4+ atoms.
