Title: Materials Data on Cr by Materials Project

Abstract

Cr is alpha U structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cr is bonded to twelve equivalent Cr atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing CrCr12 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Cr–Cr bond distances ranging from 2.27–2.70 Å.
