Materials Data on Ge3Pt by Materials Project
Abstract
PtGe3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two PtGe3 ribbons oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Pt is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ge atoms. All Pt–Ge bond lengths are 2.63 Å. Ge is bonded in a distorted L-shaped geometry to two equivalent Pt atoms.
