Title: Materials Data on Na2TeO5 by Materials Project

Abstract

Na2TeO5 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmcm space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two Na2TeO5 sheets oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. there are two inequivalent Na sites. In the first Na site, Na is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O atoms. There are four shorter (2.37 Å) and two longer (2.40 Å) Na–O bond lengths. In the second Na site, Na is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent O atoms. All Na–O bond lengths are 2.30 Å. Te is bonded in a distorted trigonal pyramidal geometry to four equivalent O atoms. All Te–O bond lengths are 1.96 Å. There are two inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a bent 150 degrees geometry to two equivalent Na atoms. In the second O site, O is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to two Na and one Te atom.
