Materials Data on Sc3Os by Materials Project
Abstract
Sc3Os crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sc is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Os atoms. There are two shorter (2.89 Å) and two longer (3.14 Å) Sc–Os bond lengths. Os is bonded to twelve equivalent Sc atoms to form a mixture of corner and face-sharing OsSc12 cuboctahedra.
