Title: Materials Data on YbTlCd by Materials Project

Abstract

YbCdTl crystallizes in the hexagonal P-6m2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded to six equivalent Cd and six equivalent Tl atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and face-sharing YbTl6Cd6 cuboctahedra. All Yb–Cd bond lengths are 3.45 Å. All Yb–Tl bond lengths are 3.45 Å. Cd is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Yb and three equivalent Tl atoms. All Cd–Tl bond lengths are 2.93 Å. Tl is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Yb and three equivalent Cd atoms.
